MANILA, Philippines – Twitter’s analytics dashboard – essentially a system that helps users determine how well a tweet performs after it’s been sent – used to be only available to advertisers and verified users.

On Thursday, August 28, Twitter’s front end engineer Ian Chan announced that the analytics dashboard, now known in Twitter’s help center as the Tweet Activity Dashboard, would now be available to everyone.

Users who wish to take advantage of the dashboard have to have an account in good standing for at least 14 days, that isn’t restricted or protected, and that primarily tweets in English, French, Japanese, or Spanish.

To use the dashboard, simply log in with your username and password at the Twitter Analytics page, then start tweeting. You can refresh the page, and once the system picks up a tweet, you can check on an individual tweet by clicking it to see its individual statistics.

You can also check the growth of your follower base, and other pertinent statistics – including what types of content are usually on your tweets and the gender and location breakup of your followers – on other pages in the analytics interface.

From a current inspection, it seems to only pick up tweets made after your initial analytics log-in, so you may want to start checking how far your reach extends sooner rather than later. – Rappler.com
