MANILA, Philippines – Google Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai announced Wednesday, February 11, the official dates and location for the company’s developer-centric conference, Google I/O.

According to a Google+ post from Pichai, the event is slated for May 28-29, 2015. It will be held at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, California.

According to the Google I/O homepage, invitation registrations are scheduled from March 17 to 19. This open registration requires a Google account.

After the registration process closes, applicants will be randomly chosen to have the opportunity to buy a ticket to the event.

Last year, Google I/O introduced Android One, a set of guidelines to make smartphone building faster and to keep the prices down for those products.

Google also provided a developer preview of the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, which they termed Android L at the time, during the conference. – Rappler.com
