MANILA, Philippines – OPPO’s new flagship, the Reno 10x Zoom, now has an official price: P45,990. The less expensive OPPO Reno will retail for P26,990.
The Reno line is OPPO’s new flagship line, with the 10x sporting the 10x hybrid zoom first seen at Mobile World Congress 2019. The 10x uses a triple-camera system with a standard shooter, an ultra-wide angle, and the telephoto camera. It also has the range-topping Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a premium design, putting it firmly against the likes of the Huawei P30 line and the Samsung Galaxy S10. The standard Reno meanwhile will sport the Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6GB of RAM, but will not have the 10x hybrid zoom. Instead, it will be replaced by a dual-camera system.
Both will have a full-screen display made possible by its novel “shark fin” pop-up camera – a mechanism that pops up on top of the camera housing the front camera.
Pre-orders for the standard Reno run from June 15 to June 20, with official retail availability on June 21. The 10x meanwhile will have its pre-orders from June 21 to June 30, with retail availability on July 1. The Reno phones will be available via OPPO concept stores, Lazada, and via Smart and Globe. Those who pre-order the Reno will get a Rock Space Muse Bluetooth speaker while 10x pre-orders come with a gimbal stabilizer.
The brand launched the phones at an event on Wednesday, June 19, featuring a collection of brand ambassadors made up of artists in various fields: artists Dax Fernandez, film director Treb Monteras; photographer Magic Liwanag; fashion figures Daryl Chang and Andre Chang; and band IV of Spades.
