Facebook rolls out Security Checkup tool for Android
Security settings can now be better managed even on your smartphone

MANILA, Philippines – Security issues have always been a big concern for social media users. Passwords can get stolen; details you prefer to keep private or open only to a select few can be broadcast for any and all to see. Sometimes, however, accessing security settings for your social media accounts can be tricky if you’re away from your desktop.

For Facebook users on Android phones, this is no longer a problem. The social media giant has rolled out its Facebook Security Checkup for the Android operating system, following the launch of the tool for all desktop users in the summer of 2015.

Just like the desktop version, the Android tool allows users to quickly log out of Facebook from browsers and devices they haven’t been using recently; turn on Login Alerts in case someone else tries to log into a user’s account from a new computer or phone; and ensure that their password is protected.

Facebook Security Checkup can be accessed through the Facebook Help Center on the Facebook Android app, or through this link on desktop. – Rappler.com
