#VPLeni inspires hope, trends on social media
MANILA, Philippines – Leni Robredo is officially the 14th vice president of the Republic of the Philippines.
During her inauguration at the Quezon City Executive House on Thursday, June 30, Robredo thanked supporters and expressed high hopes for the country.

Her words reverberated across social media, and the hashtag #VPLeni trended almost instantly.

Meanwhile, some of the supporters of Robredo and President Rodrigo Duterte shrugged off their political differences and wished the best for the tandem who will be at the helm of the country.#VPLeni2
But, as always, not everyone is happy.
Some social media users accused Robredo of cheating in the elections, echoing the claims of defeated vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.#VPLeni3
According to Rappler’s analytics tool, Reach, #VPLeni has made 243,712,473 Twitter impressions (number times a user is served a tweet in timeline or search results) as of 11:30 am. From 8 am to 11:30 am on June 30, the hashtag generated more than 8,000 unique tweets from more than 4,300 unique authors.
Robredo also trended when elections results showed that she was neck and neck with Marcos on social media, up to when she overtook Marcos in the partial unofficial results and when was declared winner of the vice presidential race. – Rappler.com
