MANILA, Philippines – Earthlings, unite! To celebrate Earth Day 2014, the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is harnessing social media to raise awareness of the breathtaking and finite planet we live in.
Through the #GlobalSelfie project, NASA wants people from all over the world to take a photo of themselves using the hashtag. NASA will then collect all submissions and merge them into a mosaic image of the Earth – resulting in a far more personal representation of our beloved “Blue Marble.”

You can post your photo using Twitter, Instagram, or Google+. Just make sure to include the hashtag #GlobalSelfie.
