MANILA, Philippines – No one can deny the hard life of a nurse – from carrying medical books thick and heavy as dumbbells, to working on mind-killing graveyard shifts, and dealing with ill-tempered patients, it’s a mystery how nurses manage to impart admirable service with tons of Tender Loving Care.
Through our first and last breath, and all the toughest, weakest moments of our lives, nurses in their white uniforms devote themselves to caring for us. So, on the birth anniversary of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale during International Nursing Week, we celebrate the nurse’s significant role in society.
