Google, for the first time, does live doodles on the sports event's daily matches

MANILA, Philippines – Since 1998, Google has been entertaining everyone with its historically relevant doodles. Naturally, it also have doodles out for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

According to Google’s official blog, this is the first time the site will be doing a series of doodles based on the sports event’s daily matches. Clicking the Google doodles and searching “World Cup”  will give you the daily match schedules, while searching the country playing in the World Cup (e.g. “World Cup USA” or “World Cup Spain”) will allow you to view the team lineups, game scores, and even players’ game stats.

Google kicked off the doodle series on June 13 (Philippines) with a happy Google logo celebrating in Brazil with a soccer ball, while other doodles were focused on some of the scheduled matches of the day. Google also remembered to incorporate Father’s Day into one of its World Cup doodles.
