Cats with purrrrsonality invade Facebook
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The next time you see a cat running around Manila, pause and acknowledge its existence: it might just be more famous than you.
If you're always on Facebook, then chances are you've probably seen a Humans of New York (HONY) post on your Home feed.
Conceived in 2010, HONY is the brainchild of Brandon Stanton. A collection of portraits from random New Yorkers accompanied by quotes that give users a glimpse into their lives.
Four years after, the page has inspired numerous others to follow suit: ‘Humans of Tehran’, ‘Humans of Oslo’, ‘Humans of Chicago’, ‘Hackers of New York’, and many more others.
Inspired by the "Humans of" series this next Facebook page will surely amuse even the most loyal of dog persons and the 'not into animals' people of this universe...or of Manila.
We dare you not to laugh or awe at the adorable ‘Cats of Manila’.
Featuring Manila's cutest cats, the page was created on the first day of July 2014. 7 days later the page had 11,000 fans.
With captions that range from cat puns to posts that poke fun at current events and local issues, each photo garners hundreds of shares and over a thousand likes.
