MANILA, Philippines – It's World Laboratory Day! All over the planet, people are hard at work in laboratories, coming up with ways to make all sorts of things easier, more efficient, more powerful, and more useful for the rest of us.
Many amazing inventions and discoveries that we now take for granted were made in labs – from medicines for the toughest diseases, to 3-D printers that can churn out actual, livable houses!
There's a scientist in every one of us. We brim over with ideas, some crazier than others, and as much as possible, we try to learn from our mistakes. Not all of us, however, have access to a state-of-the-art laboratory with an army of assistants at our every beck and call!
So, to celebrate World Laboratory Day, we asked netizens what they would do if they had a lab of their own. Some answers are poignant, and others are pretty funny. Check them out:
