Sources familiar with the matter tell Rappler, Sony will be announcing the Xperia Z1 mini at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week. The Japan-based tech giant is expected to unveil the new device at its press event on January 6.

Sony remains mum on the exact specs but it is rumored that the Z1 mini will feature identical specs as its water-resistant big brother including a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 20.7 megapixel camera. The only difference would be screen size. The mini is expected to to be a wee bit smaller at 4.3-inches. – Rappler.com
