The Philippine National Police (PNP) has banned Oplan Tokhang from being conducted from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am the next day. Cops must also be in proper uniform when conducting operations, wherein they ask drug suspects to surrender. 

The Senate public order committee has recommended the immediate disciplinary action against or even disbarment of University of Santo Tomas Law Dean Nilo Divina and other alumni of the Aegis Juris Fraternity over the fatal hazing of Horacio “Atio” Castillo III.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis warned against the temptation of fake news, drawing a parallel between ethically compromised journalism and the biblical tale of Adam, Eve, the snake and the forbidden fruit.
