The identity of the parent who threatened a professor of the Ateneo de Davao University in Davao over his college child’s low grade has been revealed in an incident report filed with the police: Director Remlane Tambuang, who heads the regional office of the Commission on Elections in Davao. The university if filing charges against him, who reportedly bragged that they come from “a family of lawyers and killers” and that they can “take down this school.”

Meanwhile, the drug-related killings are back, with 13 suspects killed in police operations in a single day in the northern province of Bulacan. In Manila, a local court has ordered the arrest of 10 fraternity men from the University of Santo Tomas School of Law for the hazing death of freshman Atio Castillo.
