Rappler talks to Cardinal Orlando Quevedo who had the opportunity to work with Pope Francis, the charismatic pontiff

MANILA, Philippines – How is Pope Francis’ visit significant to Filipinos, especially to the members of the Catholic Church?

Rappler talked to Cardinal Orlando Quevedo who told us what it was like working with the man whose charisma and humility ignited renewed interest in the Church.

Pope Francis, known for his love of the poor and his commitment to a simple lifestyle, will visit Tacloban city, one of the areas worst-hit by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Outspoken about the ills of the clergy and the bureaucracy in Rome but never straying from Catholic dogma, the Pope is both trailblazer and a proponent of the fundamentals of catholicism.

How will this papal visit influence the Philippines, the biggest Catholic country in Asia? How will his visit affect the Filipino clergy? Watch the discussion here.
