Shebab says the massacre was an act of revenge for the presence of Kenyan troops in Somalia.
The day-long siege of Garissa University is Kenya's deadliest attack since the bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi in 1998.

President Benigno Aquino hits the lowest Social Weather Stations or SWS satisfaction rating in his presidency.
Results show... the first quarter 2015 satisfaction rating of Aquino dropped by 28 points from December.
47% are satisfied with Aquinos performance, 16 points lower than his December rating…
while 36% are dissatisfied, 12 points higher than the last survey.
Analysts say the survey reflects the public sentiment on the Mamasapano operation that killed 44 elite policemen.

Espina adds, “On their behalf, as OIC of the PNP, I declare that Marwan is dead. Mission Accomplished.”
The announcement comes more than two months after the controversial Mamasapano operation on January 25.
COURT STOPS JUNJUN BINAY'S SUSPENSION INDEFINITELY
The Court of Appeals indefinitely extends the restraining order it issued stopping the suspension of Makati Mayor Junjun Binay.
The court initially issued a 60-day temporary restraining order on Binay's suspension last March 16.
In its resolution, the appellate court urged the Ombudsman and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to "respect and preserve the status quo.”
