Rappler talked to triathletes Claire Adorna, Nikko Huelgas, and Kim Mangrobang – national team athletes who represented the Philippines in the recently-concluded 2015 SEA Games held in Singapore.
The Philippine triathletes dominated their sport in the SEA Games, with Adorna and Mangrobang drawing first blood at first and second place finishes, respectively. Huelgas then landed the top podium in the men's division.
Adorna's win is especially significant. She won the Philippines its first gold medal in the SEA Games despite a nagging ankle injury.
What will their historic victory spell for the future of Philippine triathlon and its standing in global athletics? Watch their interview with Rappler sports editor Ryan Songalia here. – Rappler.com
