MANILA, Philippines – Who doesn’t like dunks?

The National Basketball Association (NBA) released its annual compilation of the top 10 high-flying acts of 2013 on Friday, December 27 to cap-off the year.

Featured in the dunk-reel are superstars Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and other notable dunkers like the Los Angeles Clippers’ frontcourt duo of Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

Watch the rim-rattling highlights:

It’s been a tough year for Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant suffered an achilles tear that took him out of the 2012-2013 playoffs. He returned a few games into the 2013-2014 only to suffer another injury, this time on his knee. The Lakers haven’t found their rhythm this season and currently sit at the 9th spot in the Western Conference with a 13-16 win-loss record.

On the other hand, LeBron James, considered the best basketball player today, has had a stellar year highlighted by his second-consecutive title with the Miami Heat and his fourth Season MVP trophy in 5 years. James was also named the 2013 Associated Press’ Athlete of the Year – an award won only by two other NBA players. Those two are Hall of Famers Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. – Rappler.com
