Manila, Philippines – How’s this for a real-life “Sister Act?”

Coaches of The Voice Italy were in for surprise as 25-year-old nun Crisitna Scuccia took the stage in the show’s blind auditions singing Alicia Keys’ hit song “No One.”

In the TV singing competition The Voice, contestants sing to coaches who’s backs are turned making sure they are judged solely for their voice. If a coach wants the contestant to be part of his or her team, that coach has to press a button. If only one coach turns around, the contestant immediately becomes a member of that coach’s team. If more than one coach turns around, the contestant has the power to choose which team she wants to be on.

In this particular blind audition, the crowd was already cheering the moment Scuccia sang her first note. Not long after she got all 4 coaches to turn.

Coaches Raffaella Carra, J-Ax, Noemi and Piero Pelu quickly asked if she was a real nun to which Scuccia replied, “Yes, I am truly, truly a sister. I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize.”
