Temple goers of all ages, coming from various cities across the country, welcomed the Year of the Rooster by praying for a healthy and prosperous year.

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Thousands of Chinese Indonesians pay a visit to the Vihara Dharma Bhakti temple in Jakarta every year, to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Temple goers of all ages, coming from various cities across the country, welcomed the Year of the Rooster by praying for a healthy and prosperous year. 

The Rooster is the 10th animal in the Chinese Zodiac cycle. People born in the Year of the Rooster are said to be honest, energetic, inteligent, flexible and confident.
