JAKARTA, Indonesia — Ajang yang bernama asli Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit ini digelar pada Senin malam, 2 Mei, waktu setempat.
Met Gala, yang juga disebut sebagai Super Bowl of Fashion atau Oscars of the East Coast, menampilkan bintang-bintang ternama dunia yang dibalut dengan glitz dan glamor.
“Pesta tahun ini”, begitu kata mereka. Met Gala adalah event penggalangan dana yang menandakan pembukaan museum untuk fesyen.
Anna Wintour, pemimpin redaksi majalah Vogue, menjabat sebagai ketua ajang ini.
Tahun ini, pameran yang ditampilkan adalah Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.
Wintour, Kepala Desain Apple Jonathan Ive, aktor Idris Elba, dan penyanyi Taylor Swift akan menjadi pembawa acara.
