JAKARTA, Indonesia – The furniture factory of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo was razed by fire on Tuesday, April 20.

Parts of the factory in Stragen regency, Central Java was destroyed by the fire which started at around 4:30pm. There were no casualties. 

The President’ son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka confirmed the incident to Rappler. There has been no comment from Jokowi so far, who is currently in the Netherlands on a state visit. He was in London when the fire took place.

Witnesses said the fire, which damaged two of the factory’s 5 buildings, originated from a wood-drying oven. Police have yet to determine the actual cause.

Firefighters were able to evacuate those inside in time, preventing casualties.
