MANILA, Philippines – Another Indonesian captive of the Abu Sayyaf was found in Sulu by Philippine troops on Wednesday, August 17.

ABS-CBN reported that the captive, identified as Ismail, was found by the soldiers in Brgy. Bual, Luuk, Sulu.

According to Maj. Filemon Tan, spokesman of the Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command, Ismail said he was one of the Abu Sayyaf’s kidnap victims. He also mentioned that he was the chief officer of a tug boat seized by the Abu Sayyaf.

Tan added Ismail will be taken to Jolo for a medical check-up, then turned over to the proper authorities.
