Your newfound free time
Technology and the Internet has allowed us to make the most of our hours. See how online banking has helped in giving us this newfound free time

MANILA, Philippines —The digital age has afforded many people a valuable commodity – time. Thanks to rapidly advancing technology and the Internet becoming more readily available, Filipinos have become more efficient with the way they spend their precious freehours. Arguably, one of the most convenient developments is the breakthrough of online banking.

So what was life like before online banking?

It was a big blur of long lines, face-to-face transactions, cash deposits and paper — lots and lots of paper! Forms, receipts, carbon paper, you name it. The 9-to-5 corporate warriors rushed through their lunch breaks to head off to the bank, determined to pay their bills on time, lest they incur additional fees. And the stay-at-home moms and dads searched for ATMs to make their deposits or check on their account balance. Yes, life before online banking had a lot to do with waiting and running around.

In a span of a few years, we’ve come a long way. Through secure websites and trustworthy bank applications, bill payments, deposits, and other transactions can be done from the comfort of home, even before, after, or during regular banking hours. No more rush to beat the lines, and no more lost lunch breaks. This way, busy people can enjoy their newfound free time in any way they wish.
