MANILA, Philippines – Every year, when Valentine’s Day rolls around the corner, the spotlight usually goes to those who have crossed paths with love. The heroes and heroines of many a rom-com.

This time, we want to put the spotlight on a different kind of love – one that goes unnoticed, but has inadvertently made rom-com fantasies possible for the lead. That’s right, we’re taking a closer look at the platonic, yet still hugot-worthy love between friends.

Think: Dionne from Clueless who supports Cher in all her romantic choices and endeavors. She even helped Cher plan for a hot date with a very well dressed but unfortunately gay guy. Or, how about when Jenko in 22 Jump Street found out that his partner Schmidt was dating the captain’s daughter? Where would these leads be without the undying support of their best friends?
