Purisima's wife now HSBC Phils' global banking head
MANILA, Philippines - Maria Corazon "Corrie" Purisima, the wife of Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, has been appointed head of global banking of HSBC Philippines.
Purisima is one of 4 HSBC Phils officials who have been named to higher posts, effective December 24, 2012.
Aside from leading HSBC Phils' global banking group, Purisima will remain head of debt capital markets.
Purisima possesses 13 years of experience in finance, of which 9 years were with HSBC.
She originally worked in Credit Risk Management, before spending the past 7 years with HSBC Phils Global Markets operations, where she was made senior vice president, head of debt capital markets and head of client coverage in global banking in 2009.
HSCB Phils, meantime, also appointed its first Filipino chief executive officer, Wick Veloso, currently head of global markets.
