MMDA writes a letter to best-selling novelist Dan Brown for his 'disappointing' depiction of Manila
MANILA, Philippines - "Big question…great answer."
This was how Backstreet Boys member (and ertswhile reality star) Nick Carter announced his engagement to girlfriend of 4 years Lauren Kitt last February 20 on Instagram.
Nick popped the question to the 29-year-old fitness expert in a secluded island in Florida Keys, according to People magazine.
“I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks... I was like ‘I don’t want it anymore!’ It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers,” Nick told People.
He admitted that he "froze" during the proposal.
"She said, 'Yes,' and I'm, like, 'I don't know what to do," Nick said. "She said, 'You're supposed to put it on my finger.' So I did. I was in shock."
The couple has yet to set a date for their wedding.
Nick starred in the reality show "House of Carters" in 2006 with siblings Aaron (who was also a pop singer), Angel, Bobbie Jean, and Leslie. 25-year-old Leslie was found dead in her New York home in February 2012. The cause has yet to be disclosed.
Nick was with the rest of the Backstreet Boys in Manila in June 2012. They performed in a sold out back-to-back concert with New Kids On the Block at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
This 2013, the Backstreet Boys are celebrating their 20th anniversary. They are working on a new album and planning an anniversary concert. - Rappler.com
