Fast 6

Directed by Justin Lin, “Fast and Furious 6” (alternatively known as “Fast 6”) returns to the lives of professional criminal Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his crew of international crooks and drivers who are now wealthy after their successful heist in the previous movie installment.

But although they are rolling in dough, their criminal records bar them from returning to their home countries. Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), who has been hunting down Toretto and his group, strikes them a deal: if they help the US government take down a skilled mercenary organization, their records will be cleared and they can go home.

Luke Evans plays Owen Shaw, the leader of the mercenary organization and a former British special forces officer who turns over to the dark side of crime. His second-in-command turns out to be Letty Ortiz, Dominic’s lover thought to be dead, played by Michelle Rodriguez.

The film also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, and Chris Bridges.

“Fast and Furious 6” is the first movie of the franchise to deviate from the underground car-racing theme.

It opens on May 24 in theaters nationwide. – Rappler.com
