WATCH: Rhap Salazar and Anne Curtis in lip sync battle

MANILA, Philippines – Rhap Salazar, who previously voiced out his dislike of performers who lip sync, engaged in a lip sync battle with singer and actress Anne Curtis on It’s Showtime on Saturday, August 29.

The two performed “All By Myself,” “Alone,” and “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going.”

In July, Rhap tweeted that he “hated seeing artists lip sync on TV,” and that some even got albums.

On Saturday, Rhap shared about lip sync experience. “Actually masaya siya for me kasi ibang experience niya and napasaya niya yung mga madlang people.” (It was actually fun for me, because it was a different experience, and it the audience enjoyed it.)

Rhap also tweeted about his experience after he performed.

Many Filipino variety shows like It’s Showtime include segments with celebrities lip syncing. Rhap has clarified however, on the show Aquino & Abunda Tonight, that he wasn’t pointing fingers at a specific artist.

Rhap’s tweets were the subject of discussion when they were first posted, as celebrities like Gary Valenciano and Lea Salonga voiced out their opinions on the matter as well. – Rappler.com
