Taylor Swift attends fan’s bridal shower

MANILA, Philippines – American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift flew to Ohio on April 14 to surprise one of her long-time fans.

Gena Gabrielle, a Taylor fan since 2007, sent an invitation to her upcoming wedding and bridal shower to the singer’s fan mail address. Taylor was luckily in the management office and her people told her about it.

She noticed she couldn’t make it to the wedding date so she decided to pop in at Gena’s bridal shower instead – bearing gifts that include a KitchenAid mixer and some other cooking supplies.

Taylor also gave Gena presents she made herself – freshly baked cookies and a small painting. Not bad for someone who’s never been to a bridal shower before.

Taylor got to meet Gena’s family and even her future groom, much to the delight of her long time fan who took her excitement to Twitter and Instagram.

Jealous? We are too! But Manila and Southeast Asia fans don’t have to worry too much as we’ll all be seeing Taylor again soon. She and her RED tour are set to make their way into the region this June.

Her concert dates include: Jakarta (June 4), Manila (June 6), Bangkok (June 9), Kuala Lumpur (June 11), and Singapore (June 12).

This will be Taylor’s second show in Manila. The first was on February 2011 where she played a sold-out show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The crowd was estimated to be about 11-13,000 strong. – Rappler.com
