MANILA, Philippines – Things are going well for The Rich Man’s Daughter star Rhian Ramos, who recently spoke to reporters about her show and her blooming love life. 

She has been seeing a non-showbiz man name Jason Choachuy for close to 6 months now. Of her relationship with Jason, Rhian said she slowly introduced him to her world since he’s a very private person.

“In the beginning I wouldn’t invite him too much to the events. If I were at Sunday All Stars or taping I would ask him to come because those are the kinds of things where it is easy to stay behind the cameras And then later as I see he was getting comfortable with everyone I am working with, then I asked [him] to tag along to events,” she said told reporters at the sidelines of the Pep List Awards.

“So far it [the relationship] has been working in a positive way…I am not living in fear… We don’t have to read every argument we have. It’s nice to have that intimacy and trust.” 

Rhian said she is also glad that her boyfriend supports her in every decision she makes.

“He was one of my great motivators. The way my family is, the way my true friends are, he really is one of my great motivators who encourages me to do what is best for me. Even if it’s something that would take time away from him he encourages me pa rin, so I can see that he puts me first – what’s best for me and that way it’s easy to be the best for myself and him.”

‘Rich Man’s Daughter’ 

Talking about her show, Rhian admitted she was initially worried about the reactions to the program about a relationship between women.

In The Rich Man’s Daughter, Rhian plays Jade, who comes from a prominent family. She meets Althea, and a powerful attraction develops between the two women. 

Rhian said she was glad that the show is doing well after the criticism against another controversial show, My Husband’s Lover.

“I would hear about the battles that My Husband’s Lover had to go through and luckily though, I think that show paved the way also for our show to not to get those kinds of  [negative] reactions. Life lessons

Having gone through many trials in the past years, Rhian said that she feels great about her life these days. (READ: Rhian Ramos on Mo Twister and new relationship)

“I feel very lucky and blessed right now and hindi naman siya isang bagay na ginawa ko (it’s not one thing I did) on purpose. It’s just I guess I’ve grown up a little bit, I know how to balance and handle my life a little bit better now compared to before when I would just focus on one thing at a time.  

“I guess I have taken the lessons life has taught me and tried to apply [that] to my life,” Rhian said. – Rappler.com
