WATCH: Lorde and Taylor Swift perform ‘Royals’ in ‘1989’ show

MANILA, Philippines – Taylor Swift surprised her Washington, DC audience on July 14 when she brought Lorde out onto the 1989 stage. 

“This artist flew 19 hours from her hometown to be here to perform for you,” Taylor hinted to the crowd, before introducing “one of her best friends in the entire world.”

The pair performed Lorde’s song, “Royals,” which, as Taylor mentioned, won Song of the Year at the 2014 Grammy Awards. 

Lorde and Taylor were all smiles after the show.

Lorde is just one of many stars that Taylor has brought onstage over the course of her 1989 concert tour. 

In London, models Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Martha Hunt, as well as athlete Serena Williams, joined her.

The Trinity, Frostbyte, Slay-Z, and Lucky Fiori brought the Bad Blood video to life tonight at #1989TourEastRutherford. Wonder what’s in store tomorrow night..

Taylor and Nick Jonas sang his song “Jealous” on the same night.

 

And last June 13, the Sierota siblings of Echosmith were on the 1989 stage with Taylor singing their hit song, “Cool Kids.”
