The fair will be on Tuesday, October 15, at the Peninsula Manila in Makati City. Titled “EHEF Philippines 2013: Academic Excellence and Mobility,” this event will run from 10am to 8pm.

A total of 31 European Higher Education Institutions will exhibit at the fair which is open to the public.

The 31 institutions come from 10 European countries, with the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Ireland represented in this fair for the first time.

The fair’s main objective is to give Filipino students interested to pursue studies in Europe a chance to meet and talk directly with representatives of universities and other institutions about the programs available for them. European Union (EU) Delegation to the Philippines Ambassador Guy Ledoux has issued a press statement saying, “When it comes to choosing a place to study, there really is no place quite like Europe. Here the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities sit alongside some of the most innovative and creative higher education institutions anywhere.”

At the press conference, EU Political Counsellor Julian Vassallo encouraged Filipinos to visit the fair, adding that this year’s event will be bigger, thanks to the EU’s funding to promote education.
