MANILA, Philippines – Among the many topics that feng shui experts tackle in their forecasts at the beginning of the new year: love. (READ: Feng shui forecast, tips for 2016, Year of the Fire Monkey)

We consulted feng shui expert Marites Allen’s 2016 forecast, as well as feng shui master Joseph Chau Kam Shing’s Feng Shui Essentials to see what the year will look like for everyone, in terms of relationships.

Rat

It’s a good year for Rats in the relationship department – singles have a chance for love, while couples can consider getting engaged or married this year.

If you’re already in a relationship, Marites advises that you keep in mind that compromise is key. On the other hand, Master Chau says that married Rats shouldn’t be tempted to get into affairs, but instead work hard at keeping their families harmonious.

Ox

Marites and Master Chau agree that because of a lucky star in their forecast, there’s a good chance for Oxen to find love this year. It’s a good year to consider marriage as well.

Tiger

It’s going to be a great year for Tigers in the love department, says Master Chau – not only will it be easy for singles to find love, but those already committed will have happier and more harmonius relationships.

However, Marites warns singles to be careful of misunderstood intentions – Tigers might take someone’s support for attraction.

Rabbit

Rabbits will have good prospects in love this year. Both Marites and Master Chau say it will be easy for single Rabbits to meet new people – or even the love of their lives – this year. It’s a good time for marriage too.

Dragon

It’s a bit of a difficult year for Dragons in terms of romance, says Marites. If you’re single, your family might not approve of the person you’re dating, says Marites, while those in relationships can suffer from unwelcome rumors.

However, Master Chau says that it’s still a good year to consider tying the knot.

Snake

“Wedding bells are ringing” says Marites for those Snakes who have been in long-term relationships. Meanwhile, single Snakes have a good opportunity to find significant others this year.

Master Chau agrees, but warns singles against being fickle when it comes to their many romantic prospects.

Horse

Horses don’t have a lot of luck in the romance department in the Year of the Fire Monkey. Marites says that for singles, any romance this year might only be temporary, while those in relationships should avoid fights by exercising understanding and support.

This is because, as Master Chau says, Horses will be emotional and moody due to stress from work. Try to keep calm, he advises, and communicate so as to avoid conflict.

Sheep

It’s a good 2016 outlook for Sheep when it comes to love. Singles will enjoy many romantic prospects and those committed can consider marriage, having a baby, or even renewing their vows.

The Sheep’s love luck is great this year, even in terms of business. Master Chau says Sheep will easily attract many people this year, even clients.

Monkey

They might be too busy with their careers to have time for love, but Marites advises that Monkeys make time and be level-headed so as to avoid arguments with loved ones.

Master Chau advises single Monkeys looking for love to be patient.

Rooster

It’s a great year for Roosters when it comes to love, say both Marites and Master Chau. It’s the right opportunity to express your romantic feelings for someone or settle down, Marites adds.

Dog

This Year of the Monkey will be challenging for Dogs when it comes to matters of the heart. Marites says that singles might be too busy to entertain love if it comes along, while couples are in danger of blowing little arguments out of proportion.

Master Chau says that misunderstanding and miscommunication are highly likely for dogs when it comes to relationships. He advises Dogs not to be stubborn and to avoid prejudice.

Boar

Single Boars may meet a lot of prospects but don’t have a lot of chances to get into long-lasting relationships this year, says Marites, while those in relationships may suffer from misunderstanding and disharmony. – Rappler.com
