MANILA, Philippines – Mobile photography app VSCOcam finally makes its way to Android.

The app which calls itself “the standard of mobile photography,” a favorite among iOS users, is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

It supports devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher. The app automatically optimizes for your device upon installation.

In a report on technology website The Verge, VSCO co-founder Greg Lutze said their “number one goal was to build [for Android] with the same level of excellence in editing capabilities” as with the iOS version.

VSCO was able to do just that as the app Android version has all of the editing tools available on the iOS version.

The main editing feature of VSCO allows users to cycle through 10 default presets – similar to filters on Instagram.

The presets aim to mimic the effect of analog-looking images similar to photos shot with Kodak, Fujifilm and other film cameras.
