Cebu Pacific promises to take appropriate action, depending on the result of the investigation on flight attendants accused of stealing money from passengers

MANILA, Philippines – Thieves on a plane?

On Wednesday, August 12, Cebu Pacific airlines was grilled by netizens as one of its flight attendants was accused of theft. The plane was bound for China when the alleged incident happened.

Photos of the said flight attendant made rounds online, also showing money buried beneath toilet paper in the lavatory’s trash bin.

In a text message, Cebu Pacific Corporate Communications Manager, Michelle Fojas said “CEB has been made aware of an alleged incident of theft in one of our charter flights to China. CEB is conducting a thorough investigation in parallel with an independent, third-party investigating body on the alleged incident.”

The airline also clarified that as the investigation is still ongoing, the cabin crew members of the said flight will be placed on “paid leave and a non-flying status,” as part of its standard procedure.

“CEB will take the appropriate action, depending on the result of the investigation,” Fojas said.
