Vote buying works in a loop of poverty. The poor need money and the politicians give them money.

MANILA, Philippines - "It's shocking!"
Pope Benedict XVI on Monday, February 11, announced that he will resign February 28.
Social media was taken by surprise by the announcement. "Shocked, bewildered, flabbergasted. I didn't knew that's allowed" said @rorounijenni on Twitter.
Like @cocoy, some tweet their speculations on what they think may be the "real" reason behind his resignation, "I'm taking it at face value. I guess he's tired/old age?"
"Always a bad sign when the boss jumps ship!" tweeted @kimgrocott.
