NAGA CITY, Philippines – Nagueños, friends and relatives trooped to the Archbishop’s Palace in Naga City on Wednesday, August 22, to pay their respects and say good-bye to their beloved Jesse Robredo, former mayor of the city and Secretary of the Interior and Local Government.

Government officials and members of the Aquino Cabinet arrived to attend the necrological Mass for Robredo and to condole with his family.

Masses will be held daily at 9:00 am and 5:00 pm until Friday, 
August 24, when Robredo’s remains will be flown to Manila for the state funeral to be held at Malacañang Palace.

Aquino signed Proclamation No. 460, declaring National Days of Mourning starting August 21 until his interment on Tuesday, August 28. The Philippine flag will be flown at half-mast in all government offices in all embassies and consulates abroad.
