DAVAO CITY, Philippines - At least 5 passengers were injured in an explosion in a passenger bus in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on Saturday afternoon, December 29.
Col Prudencio Asto, spokesman of the military’s 6th Infantry Division, said an explosion at the rear portion of a Husky passenger bus occurred at around 5:50 in the afternoon while traversing the vicinity of the town’s rotunda.
A Yellow Bus Liner tailing the Husky bus was also damaged by the blast, Asto said.
The Husky bus was on its way to General Santos City from Cotabato City while the Yellow Bus Liner was on its way to Koronadal City.
Five passengers from both buses were reported injured and are still to be identified, Asto said.
"The victims were immediately brought to the nearest hospital for medical treatment," Asto declared.
Asto added that local police forces and military bomb experts are still conducting investigations in the blast site. - Rappler.com
