BAGUIO, Philippines – Kennon Road has been closed to traffic starting 5:30 pm Friday, June 15, after a series of landslides were reported along the major road in Northern Luzon. 

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Cordillera Administrative Region said the order for road closure was based on the recommendation of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.   

The enhanced Habagat had brought continuous light to heavy rains in Baguio City and Benguet province, trigerring landslides.
