Shockwaves from Serendra: ‘I actually cried’

MANILA, Philippines – She thought Friday, May 31, was a laid-back evening with friends – until a strong explosion happened.

The blast shocked Floi Pablo, who was 30 meters away from the explosion site. “I actually cried after,” Pablo told Rappler in a phone interview. (Read: Blast in Serendra; 3 killed, 4 injured)

What distressed her more, according to Pablo, was seeing two people walking out of Serendra – and bleeding. She said an ambulance picked up the injured.

Pablo, however, said: “It was impressive how everyone reacted. There was no chaos after the exlosion. In a few minutes, people started walking toward the direction of the explosion.”
