MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila is expected to have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on Saturday, June 8.

Temperatures will range from a low of 25 degrees centigrade and a high of 34 degrees centigrade, PAGASA said in its latest bulletin issued on Friday, June 7.

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted 590 km northeast of Virac, Catanduanes embedded along the intertropical convergence zone affecting the Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its 5 pm bulletin.

Mindanao, Western Visayas and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, PAGASA said.

According to PAGASA, the Bicol region and the rest of the Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northwest to west will prevail over eastern Luzon and coming from the southwest over Palawan and the western section of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said.

The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds blowing from the northwest to west will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest over the rest of the country with slight moderate seas.
