MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – It’s standstill at EDSA early Monday evening, June 17.

Rappler followers on social media sent us photos and reports of the traffic along EDSA as heavy rains brought it to a standstill.

From Quezon City all the way to Pasay, commuters and drivers complained of being stuck in heavy traffic—with some drivers turning off their engines while other commuters resorting to walking along EDSA.

As of 11:14 p.m., EDSA northbound traffic from Harrison to Whiteplains in Ortigas and southbound traffic from Megamall to Buendia is still heavy according to MMDA.
