MANILA, Philippines – As expected, Monday, August 15 will still be a rainy day in Luzon and Western Visayas due to the southwest monsoon.

In its bulletin issued 5 pm on Sunday, August 14, state weather bureau PAGASA said there will be more monsoon rains in Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Mindoro.

These areas should still watch out for floods and landslides.

There will also be occasional rains in the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and Western Visayas, as well as the provinces of Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, and Palawan.

The rest of Luzon and the rest of the Visayas should expect light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Mindanao, in contrast, will continue to have generally good weather on Monday with just isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA also said coastal waters throughout the Philippines are moderate to rough, with moderate to strong winds.
