MANILA, Philippines (5th UPDATE) – Tropical Storm Gorio made landfall at 8 am on Saturday, June 29, in Hernani, Eastern Samar, state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

Packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gusts of up to 85 kph, Gorio is now moving northwest at 19 kph, according to PAGASA’s latest bulletin. Earlier, it was reported to be moving at 15 kph.
