Caloy is expected to be 95 km northeast of Davao City on Saturday, March 22, 70 km north of Cotabato City on Sunday, March 23, and 150 km northwest of Zamboanga City on Monday, March 24.

PAGASA estimated 5-15 mm/h of rainfall amount within the 300 km diameter of the tropical depression. Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas under the storm signal are warned against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Fishing boats and small seacrafts were also advised not to venture into the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon, as well as the easter seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

Meanwhile, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast that the provinces of Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental can expect rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas.

Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon can expect fair weather all throughout the day except for isolated light rains.

Coastal seas throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough, PAGASA said, as moderate to strong winds blow from east to northeast over Luzon, and from northeast to northwest over the rest of the country.
