MANILA, Philippines – With Typhoon Florita (international name Neoguri) out of the country, the Luzon and Western Visayas just have to deal with rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

Florita was spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 10 am on Tuesday, July 8 by state weather bureau PAGASA.

But on Wednesday, July 9, the region of Mimaropa (Region IV-B) and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite and Batangas will still experience monsoon rains.

PAGASA added in their July 8, 5 pm bulletin that the rest of Luzon and Visayas should be ready for occasional rains. Mindanao can expect only isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds will prevail throughout the archipelago. Thus, coastal waters all over the country will be moderate to rough.
