Occasional rains in northern islands on Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines – Islands in the northern tip of the country may experience occasional rains on Wednesday, August 13, while the rest of the country only need to worry about isolated rains.

State weather bureau PAGASA said in their August 12, 5 pm bulletin that the Southwest Monsoon is the reason why the Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan islands can expect some rains.

Luzon should also prepare for moderate to strong winds from the southwest. These winds will make coastal waters moderate to rough. Elsewhere in the country, winds will be light to moderate.
