Another LPA spotted off E. Samar

MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday, September 3, spotted another low pressure area (LPA) east of Borongan, Eastern Samar.

The new LPA was estimated at 800 km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar as of 4 pm Wednesday. Meanwhile, the LPA spotted earlier by PAGASA is now at 200 km east of Baler, Aurora. 

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Visayas, as well as the provinces of Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms on Thursday, September 4.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. 

Coastal seas will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to northwest over Luzon and Visayas, and from the southwest over Mindanao.
