Low pressure area spotted off Surigao del Norte

MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted off the shores of Surigao del Norte.

At 4 pm on April 28, the LPA was seen 800 kilometers east of the Mindanao province by state weather bureau PAGASA.

The weather system is likely to bring light rains and isolated thunderstorms over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

In the agency’s Tuesday evening bulletin, it said Eastern Visayas and the regions of Davao and Caraga in Mindanao are likely to have light to moderate rains and thunderstorms on Wednesday, April 29.

The rest of the archipelago can expect only isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Winds all over the country will be light to moderate resulting in slight to moderate seas.
