MANILA, Philippines - Two players of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws were arrested for suspected possession of marijuana Wednesday, February 27, near the FEU campus in Manila.

According to SPO1 Oliver Olarte of Station 4 of the Manila Police District, Anthony Hargrove and Adam Mohammad, both 22 years old, were nabbed by MPD operatives along Nicanor Reyes St. at midnight.

Confiscated from the two were one burned cigarette stick (suspected marijuana) and one heat-sealed transparent sachet containing dried leaves that officers suspect as marijuana as well.

Hargrove and Mohammad are currently detained at the station while their case is being investigated by the Anti Illegal Drugs unit of PS-4.

UAAP president Nilo Ocampo said that what happened was an unfortunate incident, but kept from commenting further until investigators complete their report.

"This is really an unfortunate incident," Ocampo told Rappler in a phone interview. "But we cannot judge them until the investigation is done. We also have to give them due process." - Rappler.com
